RayGPT

At it's core, this is a portfolio piece meant to show my knowledge of Next.js, React, TypeScript, MongoDB, and Tailwind CSS.

It's basically a customized chatGPT clone, using the OpenAI API.

Authorization is handled through Auth0 and it primarily in place to save a user's chat history and help prevent spam.

Note on routing: I chose to use the page router to familiarize myself with it. Most of my projects use the app router as it's the current best practice for Next 13+.

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
