The tutorial emphasizes the utilization of Next.js 13 App Router for creating a seamless navigation and user experience in a fully functional E-Commerce platform with an Admin Dashboard.

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

Installation

  1. Clone the repo

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/project-name.git
    
  2. Install NPM packages

    npm install
    
  3. Configure your MySQL database and update the prisma/.env file with your MySQL credentials. Go to https://mongodb.com to set up your own MongoDB.

    DATABASE_URL="mysql://user:password@localhost:3306/mydb"
    
  4. Apply the database schema

    npx prisma migrate dev
    
  5. Run the development server:

    npm run dev
    # or
    yarn dev
    # or
    pnpm dev
    # or
    bun dev
    

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.
