This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app
.
I followed this tutorial on creating a Messenger clone: https://youtu.be/PGPGcKBpAk8. I was primarily focused on learning how to work with a database and through this tutorial I was able to learn more about MongoDB and how to create a database, add, remove, and modify objects in it. Additionally, I learned some of the general syntax for TypeScript which I plan to learn separaretly in the near future.
First, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx
. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
This project uses next/font
to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.
