HOSTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

This Hostel Management System is a full-featured web application built using the TALL Stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, and Livewire). It is designed to simplify and streamline hostel management tasks, providing an intuitive interface for both hostel administrators and residents.

The system allows for efficient management of hostel-related activities such as room allocation, resident records, payment tracking, and more. It leverages the modern web development capabilities of the TALL Stack to create a reactive, fast, and visually appealing user experience.

Room Allocation Management:

• Create, view, and assign rooms to residents:

  • Room availability tracking and status updates
  • Configurable room categories (e.g., single, double, deluxe)
  • Resident Information Management:

• Add and manage resident profiles with detailed information

  • Track residency duration, room history, and associated payments

• Payment Tracking and Billing [## This is Under Development Section ]:

  • Record payments and issue bills/invoices
  • Real-time updates on payment statuses (paid/unpaid)
  • Payment history for each resident

• Announcements & Notices:

  • Create and publish announcements or important notices
  • Role-based access for hostel staff to manage announcements
  • Maintenance Requests:

• Residents can file maintenance requests via their dashboard

  • Administrators can track and manage pending and resolved requests
  • Authentication and Role-based Access Control (RBAC):

• Secure login with user roles (admin, resident, staff)

  • Access control for different functionalities based on roles

• Dashboard Analytics:

• Visual representation of room occupancy rates

• Payment summaries, pending requests, and other useful statistics

Tech Stack

• Tailwind CSS: Responsive and utility-first CSS framework to ensure a modern, mobile-friendly user interface.
• Alpine.js: Minimal JavaScript framework for handling frontend interactivity without the need for large libraries.
• Laravel: Robust PHP framework for backend development, featuring Eloquent ORM, routing, and secure user authentication.
• Livewire: Dynamic, real-time updates to the user interface without leaving the simplicity of Laravel’s backend.

Installation

Install my-project with Xampp

First Install Xampp with Php Version 8.2

  Open Browser and write : localhost/hms

For Database Connection

  I Have uploaded hms.sql file. First Download it and Import it in Phpmyadmin.
